Eagle Eyes, Big Steps Boots and Magic Compass.
Something available for PvE only,
however, if you want it to be available in PvP, be my guest but they are not much use, except for eagle eye.
The Cartographer's Companion.
though of because I think a cartographer needs it.
1) Eagle Eyes, comes in the form of runes, either runes on armor, or weapons. or a totally stand alone thing like a pearl or something, that is cross-profession, meaning something that all profession can use. It broaden the views and makes the agro circle bigger. with it you can pull monsters easier, and you don't have to stick to walls anymore to un-fog map.
after you are done with the mapping, it comes in useful for pulling mobs. because of the bigger agro circle, off course only the players who has eagle eyes has the bigger agro circle. something like using a storm bow. but only this apply for any other profession character who has eagle eyes equipped.
sample picture
2) Big Steps Boots - for swiftness. (ANet could get a sponsor to do this and get advertising fees or something, i think any big shoe company would be interested in the big steps boots. ie: put logos on them)
Does what it say, takes you from point A to point B faster without casting a skill. all you need is the boots. off course you loose the armor from your usual boots when these are worn. its a running boots not a fighting boots.
3) Magic Compass - for seeing the unseen
does what it say, tells you where you've miss and needs to go to un-fog, and when you don't need to un-fogs areas anymore, it can also locate for you boss of your desire.
All this can be acquire via quests activated when you have achieved 90% of cartography. Would be extremely if these can become a part of the winterday's quests.

1) With a bigger aggro you could pull without ever having to get anywhere near the enemy, aggro and pulling works fine as it is.
2) Deffinately not, constant speed buff without using a skill? Yeah that seems fine and balanced to me
3) If you really want that you can just use texmod and check wiki for a boss.

Isileth basically summed it up for me. Also a bigger aggro circle in most other circumstances is bad of course.

if you/they come up with a better map/explo system i'm for it.
bigger aggro radius = more unwanted aggro. playing factions with the aggro radius as it is, is proof lol.
